NO DOGS Five cats live in the farm so we are sorry but you can't bring any dog with you. The garden is about 5 km far from Paternò and there is no public transport service connecting them, so we'll arrange to get you when arrive or leave you at the nearest bus or rail station when you want to go sightseeing during your freetime.ĪCCOMODATION will be in the wooden house where we live, we can host two people in house, we have also a camper and a carovan but winter season is too cold to stay there. Other project are: achive a bio-lake( work is in progress), planting more trees, restore the vegetable garden, make orange jam and limoncello, build a chicken coop, experiment of natural building, prooning, spread fertilizer, general maintenance of the project structures. It's not a big farm and basically we produce for personal use, only oranges production generate surplus that we sell directly to our friends and family, for me it's a way of life. I manage it adhering to the principles of sustainability in a olistic view of nature elements and human being. It's located in the Simeto valley at the foot of the volcano Etna. The garden is about 8000 m², mainly oranges, some olives and other fruit trees.
I work at catania airport and i spend my freetime in the garden. My second son Matteo (14) spends a couple of day a week with us also. Hi, I'm Francesco (49), i live in a organic orange garden in Paternò (CT) with my son Antonino (20). Channels are very heavy, Antonino moved to Catania, i need help to move it, in the meanwhile a hand is wellcome in kitchen, feed hens, give water to young plants etc. At the moment there is only the excavation, i have the project to recycling concrete channels using these to stabilize the banks and give impermeability ( i don't like use plastic).
